Jim Carenza has served as Chief Financial Officer of Vesta Pacific Development since 2012.
Mr. Carenza possesses extensive experience in real estate development and finance. He has spent the last 30+ years as a principal developer and investor in various real estate ventures across the U.S. Since 1990, Carenza has owned and operated Cobblestone Finance, which provides financing advisory services to land developers, homebuilders and investors. He has been directly responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in equity and debt financing. Carenza was a developer of and investor in Oak Canyon Ranch, a Northern California master-planned community featuring 3,475 residential units, 300,000 sq. ft. of commercial, two golf courses, two schools, parks, and a village town center. Carenza was also a direct investor and financing consultant in Business Park of the Desert in Tucson, AZ, a 32 acre, planned industrial development to be comprised of 400,000 sq. ft. in 10 buildings. From 1987 to 1990 Mr. Carenza was Land Acquisition Manager for Kaufman & Broad Home Corp.’s San Diego/South Riverside division. He was responsible for identifying land development and homebuilding opportunities, managing the due diligence, and ultimately purchasing the properties. As a Senior Consultant with Kenneth Leventhal & Co. from 1984-1986, Carenza provided consulting services to builder clients including McMillin and Pacific Scene. From 1981-1984 Mr. Carenza served as a Senior Auditor with Arthur Andersen where his real estate clients included Lawrence Welk Companies. Jim earned a B.S. with a major in Accounting and a Computer Science minor from Central Connecticut University. He was first licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1984. |
